Savannah Chronicles - Day 3

July 2, 2012
Good morning!  We slept a little late and missed breakfast. We went to the Goose Feathers Cafe. It was awesome. I had an Eggs Benedict Croissant with Pesto. DELICIOUS!!! T had the veggie Panini. Of course I didn't try that, but I take her word for it.

Then we took a river boat tour cruise. It was pretty boring but informative. That is if you like hearing Georgia history.

Now we are off to the city center to shop and eat. So we went to see the Movie "Ted". It was crazy. The theater was definitely not AMC, but it got the job done. For dinner we went to "Vic's On the River". Oh my god!  That was by far the best overall dining experience I have ever had. Ruth’s Chris....KILL YO SELF!  I had a Ribeye that had to be 16 ounces. It was perfectly medium rare and fork tender. T had the crab cakes. All crab; no filler. That is going on the must visit list every time we come here. I give them 10 out of 10. No kidding around.

So after dinner we walked through downtown Savannah. It is really beautiful. It was peaceful and progressive, very similar to the atmosphere is Virginia Highlands and Midtown in Atlanta. We went to a local bar called McDonough's to do Karaoke. It simply just didn't happen, at least not in the hour we were there. So we left and went back to River Street. We stumbled upon a lively Karaoke session going on a Wet Willies. So we went in and TURNT UP! Tahira sang "you ought to know" by Alanis Morissette. She rocked it! Then I sang the usual party spark "Copacabana". Check me out on Youtube.  I wanted to put T's video up, but she hasn't given me permission just yet.  Stay tuned.....
The highlight of the night was this white dude who sang bump n grind by R Kelly. He absolutely owned that song. I have never heard it done so well. We stayed, we drank, and we sang some more. T did Killing me Softly and I did Play that funky music. We were gone out all day long, so needless to say, we passed out when we got back to the hotel. That's what vacation is all about!
